چکیده

Interleukin-1 antagonism is a proposed biomarker and potential therapy for the delay and/or treatment of type 1 diabetes (T1D). We evaluated role circulating interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra) in prospectively monitored cohort T1D patients. In order to determine mechanistic association between IL-1ra T1D, we performed co-localization analyses serum protein quantitative trait loci genome-wide analysis studies. Adjusting human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genotypes, first degree relative status, gender, age, levels were lower subjects who progressed compared controls (p = 0.023). Our results suggest that females have higher males 0.005). The 2q14.1 region associated with not risk developing T1D. data IL-1 by an effective but may be progression

Vitamin D Deficiency is Associated with the Metabolic Syndrome in Subjects with Type 2 Diabetes

Background and Objectives: There is convincing evidence that subjects concomitantly affected by type 2 diabetes (T2D) and metabolic syndrome (MeS) are at greater risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Many metabolic derangements in T2D might be attributed to poor vitamin D status. The purpose of this study was to investigate the associations among vitamin D status, MeS and glycemic status in su...

Adiponectin has different mechanisms in type 1 and type 2 diabetes with C-peptide link.

PURPOSE Adiponectin (ApN) is considered to be responsible for reduction of inflammation and is known to be included in lipid metabolism. This study was designed to assess the role of adiponectin in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and to determine parameters important in the prediction of adiponectin. METHODS Adiponectin, high sensitive C-reactive protein, fibrinogen, homocysteine, C-...

The Common FTO Genetic Polymorphism rs9939609 is Associated with Increased BMI in Type 1 Diabetes but not with Diabetic Nephropathy

The fat mass and obesity associated (FTO) gene has an important genetic effect on body mass index (BMI) and risk of obesity, and obesity contributes to the progression of renal diseases, including diabetic nephropathy. We thus conducted a genetic association study to evaluate whether the FTO gene confers the risk susceptibility to the development of diabetic nephropathy. Genotyping experiments ...
